There has been a lot of talk about the new AXE Sunwell product! I'm afraid (as awesome as it would be) it can't be ordered or bought anywhere because it was part of our April fools' joke. We'd like to thank Xav from Premonition and Bibi from mmo-champion for participating. I hope you readers had a few laughs, let's see what we'll have next year!

Many sites have been interested in us during the last few weeks, and our members have been participating in many different interviews.

I must say I really loved Kid Arctica's work on his worldofraids article "Anatomy of a World First Kill". If you wonder how Paragon prepares for new content this is absolutely something you want to check out.

A guy called Shique gave me a link to this article on his website envy-eu.com. The article features the hard mode race between Paragon and Ensidia. Personally I found it interesting; it has some fresh points of view and it deals with some hot subjects neutrally, without flaming. Check it out here.

Retpaladin.com did an interview on our retribution paladin Iiris. Check out what he thinks about raiding as retribution, how competitive the class is overall, and what are his thoughts on Icecrown Citadel instance and Lich King encounter. You can find the interview here.

Esl TV interviewed our death knight Synti just a week before our Lich King kill. He promised them they wouldn't need to wait for the kill for long, and was able to keep his promise. See the interview here.

The forums have been ON FIRE as no one else has been able to kill the Lich King yet. Again I'd like to ask people to speculate the subject calmly without insisting on exploits. The upcoming video will answer all your questions. We are just waiting for a world second kill.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS'!

Some of you have heard rumors about it, and today we're able to announce it officially: we are moving to US servers and merging with Premonition to join forces in Cataclysm.

While we had a very successful run in ICC, we lost the race for the first kill on all the eight first bosses, which were in fact killed before the EU servers came up. Thus, the only way to aim for perfection is to play on the US servers. This will enable us to start raiding over 12 hours earlier. To further strengthen our force, we opted to look for a partner to merge with; we chose to present Premonition with this partnership suggestion for their excellent performance and connections.

Statements were released from one of the leaders from both guilds:

When looking for US partners, Premonition was an obvious choice for us. We've had friendly relations with them for a while, and they're good guys that we'll enjoy playing with. Furthermore, their excellent track record guarantees that we will have the absolute optimal player setup for any and all challenges that Cataclysm will offer. Their connections also aided us in our search for sponsorship, and we look forward to working with them to further push the limits of World of Warcraft raiding.

EDIT: There have been some rumors floating around how we ignored Infest by canceling and rebuffing hp buffs. This, and rumors of other exploits, are simply false, as you'll be able to see from the upcoming video.

The Lich King is now dead in 25-man. Getting the kill took us more than 170 tries, and today we were left with 20/35 tries.

 ”This is definitely the most challenging boss in WoW history, and I’ve been there among the first to kill Horsemen in Naxx-40 and whatnot. Everything else up to this point pales in comparison. The encounter is extremely ruthless in the sense that anyone making a mistake will almost instantly lead to a raid-wide wipe. The fight itself requires almost 20-minutes of full-on concentration coupled with very high personal skill-level.

 
Quite simply the perfect end-boss to finish the expansion with, couldn’t have hoped for more. My hat is off to Blizzard on this one. I can’t wait to see if this encounter can be outdone in Cataclysm.”
