GZ:P
I was progressing him yesterday and boss disapered sometimes when we entered to 3th phase xD That was rly annoying...But this game doesnt have any bugs and i must remember about that xD
Congratz to you paragon. Really a nice encounter i must say.
I raided 6 hours on 10man HC on him, and yet we still aint there.
So you guys sure got some skill :P Keep it up in cataclysm lads.
GZ!! :P
Congratulations on the kill. The encounter looks nice but ending the expansion with a one boss instance is kind of sad. Worst type of content-filler in my opinion.
I think the encounter itself was quite ok; I personally would've wanted for it to be somewhat harder though. This could've been accomplished by tweaking the mechanics to be a bit more unforgiving. For example, making the Corporeality play a far bigger part in the encounter, making the "void zones" bigger - emphasize that the encounter is about teamplay and communication between teams in both realms.
Biggest disappointment was how the release was handled. :/
zYN may i ask how you in p3 dealt with the zones ??
As far we've got her/him to 12% 10man HC. And are aiming for a server first.
Got any tips regarding that aswell ?
I do tbh like the encounter very much, especially in shadow realm thingie :P
Optimal way of dealing with the zones is reacting fast. Make sure every player has some way of instantly knowing when they get the debuff and start running to the edge of the room (in either realm).
Don't let the debuff stack too high. Two stacks is preferred, three is still fine. The higher the stack goes (the slower the dispel), the more it'll cause damage as it takes significantly longer time to get away from the actual void zone. The damage taken when running away from a void zone size 4 is easily 300-400% higher than when running away from a size 2 zone. It doesn't really matter in 25-man, but in 10-man it's nice to do it right.
Make sure everyone knows how to properly run away from the void zone as well. Sitting still and waiting for a dispel is horrible.
You want to be moving along the wall when you have the debuff, so that the second you get dispelled you're able to travel 50-90% of the distance that you have to travel within the void zone. The slow effect isn't applied instantly. This saves you easily 3-4 ticks per zone and might be crucial in 10-man, especially for healers, to do this correctly.
Other than that, some people seem to be having some problems regarding the lazer dance. There's a few ways to make this extremely easy.
a) Watch for the orb on your left side. Know where it is at, know when a new one is coming. Or, alternatively, watch for the two orbs on opposite side of you
b) Take a few steps back as the beams start firing. This gives you a significantly larger margin for error.
c) The orbs are on a strict timer. This means that they ALWAYS, without exception, fire at a certain pattern. A tank that understands this behaviour can place the beams in an easy place for rest of the raid.
From the tank's POV: Spyro is right in front of you, in the middle of the room. Rest of the raid, from your PoV, is on right (or left) side. When the lazer show starts, move in the middle of the sector. When it ends, adjust your position by 30 to 50 degrees clock-wise (depending on your position when the lazer show ended) and stay there.
It might take a few tries, but this method guarantees that the lazer show starts at "the same place" every time as long as the raid stays in a 90-degree angle from the tank on the side of the dragon.
congratulations, and sorry for that sucky problem, i bet no one doubts you would have done it first
What healing setup did you use? We are struggling a bit with a palladin, shaman and holy priest outside.
We had a holy paladin (Ilonie), 2 holy priests (Zhinn and Jhazrun) and a restoration druid (Verdisha) downstairs.
Upstairs we had a restoration shaman (Kahva), holy priest (Ande) and a holy paladin (Diamondtear).
The fight is not a dps race at all - if you feel like you lack heals just bring 8th healer. Remember to have your priests spec Body and Soul for those sprint shields.
We tried with 7 healers once before , but reverted back to 6 and even tho inside looks ok with 3, outside does not.
What do you wipe to on the outside then? Or rather, who dies?
One of the healers gets swarmed by adds most of the time. What is the best way to control them?
